Welcoming Four New Partners in Climate Resilience

Communities are building resilience to a changing climate at every level. But climate adaptation remains underfunded, and the work that turns promising ideas into lasting systems is often the hardest to resource. That's why we're proud to welcome four new partners working toward climate adaptation and resilience around the world. Each is building a model, a network, or a body of evidence that others can learn from and grow.

Cewas: Connecting utilities with climate solutions

Cewas' Water Resilience Solutions Hub pairs water utilities in Kenya and Uganda with entrepreneurs building solutions to climate risks. Five participating utilities will assess their climate vulnerabilities, match with relevant enterprises, and co-design and pilot solutions that keep water services reliable under climate stress. The Hub is testing a replicable model for utility-enterprise partnerships. Along the way, it will generate the evidence and financing pathways that help successful solutions last and spread.

CLIMA Fund: Restoring rivers from the ground up

The CLIMA Fund's Let It Flow initiative supports grassroots organizations restoring water systems across three globally significant watersheds in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Because it works across entire river systems, the initiative connects water security, biodiversity, food systems, and community governance. It also shifts resources and decision-making to the communities closest to the challenges. Let It Flow aims to improve water flows, water quality, and biodiversity, and to strengthen resilience to drought, flooding, and deforestation. Their learnings help local institutions shape the water policies that affect them for years to come.

ClimateWorks Foundation: Bringing more funders to adaptation

ClimateWorks Foundation convenes the Adaptation and Resilience Collaborative for Funders (ARC), which brings together more than 70 foundations to share learning, coordinate strategies, and increase investment in climate adaptation. ARC tracks where funding is going, surfaces gaps, and helps philanthropies direct resources to high-impact opportunities. Adaptation needs more funders working together, and ARC gives them a place to do it.

Join For Water: Making healthy ecosystems investable

Join For Water brings communities, ecosystems, and institutions together to protect water resources. With our support, it will establish community-based demonstration sites that measure how protecting and restoring ecosystems helps replenish water supplies. That evidence can open a pathway for water-related finance to flow toward landscape-level conservation. The result will be a replicable model for funding restoration across more watersheds.

What connects them

Each of these partners is building something designed to spread: a watershed restoration model, a funder network, a financing pathway, a utility partnership. That potential to scale is what draws us to a project. We're grateful to support the organizations leading this work, and we look forward to sharing what we learn together.
